As a child, I remember sitting within a drafty Big Top, watching some tightrope walker tread a taut line suspended over a safety net, holding my breath until the performer was safely across. This week, the JGBM ‘Video of the Week’ features ‘slackline’ walker Dean Potter, who puts his life ‘in the balance’ attempting to cross China’s 40 metre wide Enshi Grand Canyon on a line just 2cm thick, 1800m above sea level and without the aid of a safety net or harness!
